I'm Mairéad, a mum of two boys, passionate about birth, babies and all things yoga and mindfulness related.

I created Space to Breathe to support you in this crazy adventure of motherhood.

I offer doula support and yoga during pregnancy, and a course 'Calm in the Chaos' which takes you on a six week journey to a calmer you!


My children are the greatest Zen teachers I've ever had, but my yoga and meditation practice goes back many years before they arrived on the scene.

I trained as a yoga teacher with the Yoga Therapy and Training Centre Ireland in 2008. In 2015 I completed pre-natal and mum and baby yoga teacher training with The Elbowroom in Dublin.

I've learned vipassana meditation and mindfulness at Buddhist centres and retreats in Thailand, South Africa and Ireland and my courses and tools draw on practices from yoga, vipassana meditation and from the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programmes made popular by Jon Kabat Zinn.

I've  also worked for many years in health policy and research so I always have an eye on the science behind yoga and mindfulness
